Adirondack Remote Worker Month

March 2026 –

A2i is partnering with several towns across the greater ADK Park to celebrate our community of telecommuters, freelancers, and location-neutral professionals to coincide with National Telecommuters Appreciation Week from March 1 – 7, 2026.

With an estimated 12,000 location-flexible workers living in the greater Adirondacks, it’s time to bring our digital community together in the physical world. Whether you are a tech-enabled professional, a creative freelancer, or a hybrid employee, this month is designed for you:

  • Connect with fellow remote workers in your specific region.
  • Enhance your engagement with your local community.
  • Discover new coworking spaces and resources right in your backyard.

We are rolling out a series of gatherings in multiple pilot communities across the park.

Want Your Community to Participate?

We are still adding locations to our calendar! If you represent a town, library, coworking space, or community organization and want to host a gathering for remote workers in your area, please contact Svetlana Filipson (svetlana@adkcommunityfoundation.org).

The Agenda

Each town’s agenda will be unique, but you can expect a mix of the following:

  • Welcome & Gather: Arrival and casual conversation with your neighbor telecommuters.
  • Community Greeting: A brief introduction from a local representative regarding town engagement opportunities and resources for residents.
  • Remote Worker Spotlight: 1–2 snapshots from local professionals sharing their experience living and working in the region.
  • Open Socializing: Casual networking to keep the conversation and connections going.

Who: Open to all location-flexible workers, freelancers, consultants and anyone interested in the future of work in the North Country.

Hope to see you at one of the meetups!
