ADK Launchpad Pitch Day

November 20, 2025 –

The Adirondack Launchpad Pitch Competition culminated in a pitch event at the Northwood School Innovation Hub in Lake Placid on November 20, where five finalists presented their venture ideas to a panel of expert judges.

The competition exposed the strong entrepreneurial demand in the North Country, drawing 38 high-caliber submissions from across the region!

ADK Launchpad winners:

• Winner: Greg Simkiss with ADK Modular Building Materials, recognized for the venture’s scalable solution addressing the regional housing crisis.

• Runner-Up: Edward Alford with High Peaks Flight Simulator Center, recognized for developing a high-quality, year-round tourism and training venture.
