July 2026: Adirondack Remote Worker Month
July 2026 –
Following a highly successful meetup series in March, the Adirondack Innovation Initiative (A2i) is thrilled to announce July 2026 as Adirondack Remote Worker Month! With an estimated 12,000 location-flexible professionals living in the greater Adirondacks, our goal is to bring our region’s digital workforce together in the physical world.

Working remotely doesn’t have to mean working alone. Step away from the screen and connect with other location-flexible local professionals.
Who attends? Our meetups are open to all location-flexible workers, tech professionals, creative freelancers, hybrid employees, consultants, and anyone invested to connect with this community.
Host a Gathering in Your Community
We are actively looking for towns, libraries, coworking spaces, and local venues to partner with us to host these gatherings.
- Want to participate? If you represent a local organization or venue and want to claim a date for your town, we’d love to collaborate! Please contact Svetlana Filipson, Director of A2i, at svetlana@adkcommunityfoundation.org.
- Why Host? It’s a turnkey way to introduce residents to your organization and/or town, highlight local resources, and drive civic engagement in your backyard.

What to Expect
While each town’s gathering will have its own unique local flavor, A2i meetups typically follow a relaxed, impactful 60-to-90-minute format:
- Welcome & Gather: Casual arrival and initial mingling among neighboring telecommuters.
- Community Greeting: A brief welcome from the host highlighting local resident resources or ways to get involved in the community.
- Remote Worker Spotlight: 1–2 quick snapshots from local professionals sharing their experience living and working in the area.
- Open Socializing: Laid-back networking to keep the regional connections growing.
Who attends? Open to all location-flexible workers, tech professionals, creative freelancers, hybrid employees, consultants, and anyone invested in the future of work in the North Country.
